Emotional Needs |
 |
Here
are some emotional needs that your missionaries have. They are
divided into two categories. First, personal needs. Second, family
needs. Believe it or not, missionaries have more emotional needs
than you or I since they not only have the daily challenges that
life brings, but they have to cope with them in a completely
different and at times confining culture. Also, we tend to forget
that the missionary family is just like ours. They have to train
(and discipline) their children. They have rough spots in their
marriage and conflicts with co-workers.
Personal Needs:
- Encouragement
- Understanding (culturally
relevant)
- Love
- Remembrance of Birthdays,
Holidays, Anniversaries, etc.
- Friends
- Stress management
- Surprises or unexpected care
packages or gifts.
- Cultural conflicts
- Re-Entry
Family Needs:
